An Introduction to Illustrator
Adobe released Illustrator in the late 1980s. The primary purpose of the program is to create resizable vector graphics that can be used in print and digital designs. Illustrator is often used to create advertisements, logos, and business cards. Recent updates to the software also make it a popular option to create one-page designs, like flyers.
What are the differences between Photoshop and Illustrator?
Both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are used to create graphics, but there are some differences. Photoshop is primarily used to alter photos, while Illustrator is used to create graphics. Photoshop is the best tool to create images for the web because of its ability to add layers and filters. Print graphics, such as logos and icons, should be designed with Illustrator.
